New Music: Daemon & Airdrie – Go Easy

Hailing from British Columbia in Canada, Daemon & Airdrie (aka Marley and Jesse) make a welcome return to the blog, having featured last June with their track Melt. This time round they delight with another slice of ghostpop in the form of Go Easy – check it out below!

The track offers a sunnier take on their signature sound, though the vocals still have their light and dreamy ambience. The electronic elements of the arrangement chime in and out like a summer breeze, as the duo’s vocals – sometimes in harmony, sometimes alone, lend the whole thing an airy atmosphere. The result is a song that flows around you, caressing you in a sublime embrace.

Discussing the inspiration behind the song, the duo said it ‘explores the yearning for full human freedom, emancipated from the perceptions and habits that hold us back from realizing our true depth of connection. It’s both a reminder of what is possible and a plea to the forces of nature to assist in a process of transformation-through-letting go’.

Go Easy is available now via the group’s Bandcamp page and can also be streamed on Spotify.
