With its swirling and blackened, almost gothic take on shoegaze, Italian trio Be Forest return to the musical fray with their first album in five years, bringing a hint of menace and danger to the otherwise ethereal genre on their new track Gemini. Check it out below.

Hailing from Pesaro, the unlikely home of Italian alternative music (also home to Soviet Soviet, Brothers in Law) Costanza Delle Rose, Erica Terenzi and Nicola Lampredi weave a sound that is densely packed and almost martial in its tightly controlled rhythm yet with a counter-intuitive lightness to it courtesy of the vocals, sparkly guitars and breathy production style.

Gemini is out now – streaming on Spotify. It will feature on the band’s upcoming Knocturne album which will be released in February and is available to order now on Bandcamp via We Were Never Being Boring Collective aka WWNBB.

We’ve had the inside scoop on some exciting dates coming up for the band this year so be sure to watch their Facebook and Twitter accounts for more news.
