New Music: Club 8 – Swimming With the Tide

  • New Music: Club 8 - Swimming With the Tide

Back in July we covered Lost by Sweden’s Club 8 and remarked on how the track had departed from their sophisticated synth-pop to explore other musical worlds. The duo has triumphed again with their latest track, Swimming with the tide.

Firmly based on an electronic palette, Swimming with the tide explores different avenues of world music to Lost, with inflections of Americana, indigenous folk sounds and more interlacing with each other, a minimal and rhythmically entrancing melody and the duo’s enchanting vocals to induce an aura of electro-shamanic reverie in the listener.

Swimming with the tide is out now via the wonderful Labrador Records and is streaming on Spotify and other digital platforms. The track will feature in the bands upcoming Golden Island album, you can find out more about pre-ordering and streaming digital versions here. A limited-edition vinyl version of Golden Island can be ordered via Amazon.
