Amsterdam duo Cut_ (Cut underscore) have teamed up with home town compatriots Klangstof on the intoxicatingly rich and decadently divine Fever – have a listen to some naughty but ever so nice mellow beats below.

The duo’s sensual take on trip hop is very much to the fore, but there’s a different air to Fever that gives it a subtle, sensual twist. Like much trip hop there’s that 60s ambience, but it sounds like it looks more to the work of Gainsbourg than Barry as it incorporates pop tones with darker, frankly sexual lyrics.

The vocals sound like they come straight from the boudoir, as Belle and Koen come across like they’re entwined in a hazy, unhurried ecstasy that is bound to captivate the listener and arouse the senses. Bewitching and bold yet chilled at heart, Fever is a love song of sorts at its core.

Fever is out now, streaming on Spotify, Deezer and other platforms. It is the fourth single the upcoming Cut_ album.

The album’s official launch party is on 21st February at the legendary Melkweg in Amsterdam. Find out more about that as well as other gigs in the pipeline on their Facebook and Twitter feeds.
