New Music: ECHOS – Saints

  • New Music: ECHOS - Saints

Portland post-pop duo ECHOS whet the appetite for their upcoming debut album Even Though You’re Gone by dropping the epic and anthemic Saints (and accompanying video) – it’ll make you a believer in the band, that’s for sure.

With its determined but delicate demolishing of genres from rock to electropop, Saints is a real musical delight. Like a torch song for the post-rock generation, one that sees through the lies that are sold as the truth, and the judgement and fear that are sold as love.

Lexi Norton’s breathy and at times belligerent vocals, plus the cutting lyrics, both create the basis for an anti-hymn. The arrangement is a stirring, rousing call to arms making the track is must-listen for those that know the truth and refuse to accept the hypocrisy spread by those that promote hate as they preach love.

Even Though You’re Gone is due out on 18th November via Seeking Blue – you can find out more, including how to pre-save the album on Spotify, here.
