New Music: Hannah Scott – Signs Of Life

  • New Music: Hannah Scott - Signs Of Life

Hannah Scott is originally from Ipswich but says her music has been influenced by Italy – partly down to spending time living in Tuscany working on an olive press, but also the fact that musical collaborator (and solo artist in his own right) Stefano Della Casa hails from Italy too. Check out new track Signs Of Life below.

There’s an overwhelming and intense beauty here that can take your breath away, especially as the track reaches its musical and emotional climax,  but that peak is pleasantly softened by the rich folkish tones to the vocals.

With an ambiance of gothic metal to the arrangement but without the needless bombast, Signs Of Life beats with a human heart underneath the stirring strings and melodic electronica.

They’ve described the song as being about “hope even in the darkest moments.” And that positivity in adversity shines through in every note and every word.

Signs Of Life is out now and can be streamed on Spotify and iTunes.
