Dig Deeper is a new song from Inner Tongue’s forthcoming debut album, which will be released early 2018 via Mount Silver Records & Caroline International Records. Describing the genesis of the song, Inner Tongue says it’s ‘about the adrenaline you feel before take off, the seconds in weightlessness and the eventuating Netflix-boredom, that can be ultimately freeing’. The track is the follow-up to the synthwave seduction that was Underworld.
Based in Vienna which has a thriving electronic scene, he says he finds ‘as much inspiration in the quiet serenity of the mountains as in the hustle and bustle of the city’.
The upcoming album was recorded and produced at Assault & Battery, the London studio of Flood and Alan Moulder, in conjunction with John Catlin (Foals, Warpaint, The Naked And Famous etc.), who he has already worked together with on the debut EP Tz, Ka. Dig Deeper and Underworld are the first in a series of songs that will be released in advance of the album over the coming months.
