New Music: Jane In Space – Eat Your Face

  • New Music: Jane In Space - Eat Your Face

With a sound that’s been labelled a blend of rock and electro-industrial influences, Brooklyn band Jane In Space have carved out their own unique niche since forming in 2014.

It’s something they display with considerable dexterity skill on new track Eat Your Face, which has an accompanying Permian Strata directed video – check it out below.

There’s a debt to industrial pioneers such as Nine Inch Nails on Eat Your Face as its dark rock stylings attest, but with its synthpop sensibility and subtle punk-funk nuances reminiscent of Leeds band Gang of Four, the band generate a very different sound to NIN.

Its dense rhythms and guitar laden hooks generate a sound that is claustrophobic yet enticing, its alternative take on a well-established genre is a real breath of fresh air.

Eat Your Face is from the band’s upcoming Gorerunner album which is released via Aion Records. The band will have a party to celebrate to album launch at New York’s Mercury Lounge on July 14th.
