Jouska is an Oslo-based duo who describe their music as being about ‘the obscure parts of your consciousness’. Intrigued to know what that sounds like? Then have a listen to their new track Beverly Mind below.

A tight bass line and occasionally dissonant trip-hop beats and loops combine to create a curiously warm setting for vocals that give off an air of studied innocence. The vocals seem to float in and out of the listener’s consciousness like a sprite, as the lyrical hooks add to the sense of being caught in a moment that is part-daydream, sometimes part-nightmare but oddly comforting in its familiarity.

Beverly Mind is out now via Koke Plate and available to stream or download on all major platforms including Spotify. Be sure to visit Jouska’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts to keep up with news about the song, upcoming releases and more.
