Was it only in April that we covered Queen’s Anthem by Berlin-based Swedes Juno Francis? It seems a world away, but the band retains their ability to craft a beautiful pop song, as Oyster Love shows.
The song, which they say is about “the darker side of a romantic world view and the sacrifices made to chase self-fulfillment,” is a Nordic delight. It’s moody and funky, and incredibly sultry. The vocals glide over shimmering synths and a skin-tight bassline, encouraging the listener to yield to temptation regardless of the costs.
Oyster Love features on the EP of the same name, which is out now via Solina Records and is available to stream on all major platforms, including Deezer and Spotify. Be sure to check the band out over on Facebook and Instagram to find out more about Juno Francis and other listening options for the EP.
