Australian producer JVLY has released a number of singles in the last few months in the lead up to his inside weather EP. That culminates in the easy, rainy weather sound of ghostbones.
Intimate, if not overtly sensual, ghostbones riffs on glitchy RNB and ethereal beats to produce a sound that’s as light as a feather but packs a real emotional punch. With a vocal performance that oozes with soul, this is a rewarding diversion into some unusual musical territory.
The producer says about the song, “ghostbones feels like the perfect outro for this project. There’s a kind of central theme that runs through every song and this one feels like what it all amalgamates to. It feels final, like the end of the chapter I guess.”
