New Music: Klemsdal – When Is It Over

Life has lots of unanswered questions, but it also has answers to questions you didn’t know existed. When Is It Over by Norwegian act Klemsdal fits in the latter category, with the question being – what would the music of Muse or Radiohead sound like if it was stripped down, rendered devoid of pomposity, and with the only the emotion and musical immediacy remaining? Watch the video to find out!

The track opens with that very typical stripped down Scandinavian sound, with a synth-supplied bass line, providing the backbone to song that successfully relies on the vocals and lyrics to do the heavy lifting against a sparse but catchy guitar-infused synthpop setting.

When Is It Over is out now, streaming on Spotify as well as on Soundcloud. You can find out more about Klemsdal via his band’s Facebook page.
