New Music: Kult Kyss – I Am One

Melbourne electronic duo Kult Kyss are back with a bang on new release in the form of I Am One. With percussion driving the track along with an almost hypnotic intensity, it successfully blends the left field dissonance made popular by Fever Ray and ionnalee, with an almost euphoric club friendly rhythm similar to Cut Copy.

I Am One is catchy but not commercial – you’d hear this at a dance club for the damned, not your local main street club (which is a shame)! What it does have is a sense of fun and energy, a hint of danger and the feel that Haxx and Rromarin are playing about with and perverting the concept of the club banger while doing something new and addictive as a result.

I Am One Is out now, available as a free download here and you can stream it, and the band’s previous releases, on Spotify.
