New Music: L-space – Café Electric

  • New Music: L-space - Café Electric

Scottish trio L-Space take elements of dreampop and fuse them with more electronic, futurepop inspired ambiences to serve up a sound that feels not so much retro, but more timeless in its lush use of sound and mood.

Café Electric features on the band’s current Kipple Arcadia album and is a fine example of their deft touch; not only with a tune but with their ability use various layers of synths, percussion and vocals to engender in the listener a reassuring sense of calm and comfort.

It does that by taking some ethereal tones and weaving in some more robust guitar progression and ambient flourishes, along with a Theremin that will have you daydreaming of half-remembered sci-fi classics.

Café Electric is destined to be a go to chillout track for those that seek a journey within.

Kipple Arcadia is available on all major digital outlets including Spotify, Bandcamp and iTunes. You can pick up a physical copy of the LP – on pink vinyl no less – via Last Night from Glasgow.
