Formed in the summer of 2019, Made of Stone is comprised of Sophia Medina on vocals, Alin Glogovicean on guitar, Zach Lehrich on drums, Lucian Lee on guitar & synth, and Chris Lewis on bass. The End is their third single – listen to it below to explore their ambient take on a classic genre.

Sophia Medina’s voice is blissful and tinged with sadness, its air of melodic melancholy teasing out every drop of emotion from the lyrics, and the arrangement. With a name that brings about an automatic association with the heyday of the Manchester indie scene of the 80s and 90s, you expect a robust indie theme to the sound of The End. But the band explores the more delicate, intricate guitar-led soundscapes of The Durutti Column and The Chameleons rather than the hedonism of Stone Roses or Happy Mondays, and is all the better for that. The End is the perfect accompaniment to rainy days spent by the fire, alone or with someone you love.

The End can be streamed on Deezer and Spotify. You can find out more about Made of Stone and their music over on their Facebook and Instagram pages.
