Based in Cologne, the Amphi Festival has its fifteenth edition this month. Primarily focused on the dark scene in Germany, the line-up is a mix of electro, EBM, gothic rock, Neue Deutsche Härte, neo-medieval music and much more.

As the years have passed Amphi has become more international in terms of the acts and audience, with this year seeing the likes of White Lies and Nitzer Ebb rubbing shoulders with Ash Code and Hearts of Black Science.

This year sees our Ady DJing the Sunday night afterparty with Deany Sevigny as part of Anointed, their curated night for all things moody and post punk, electro and a bit of emo!  All of which seemed like a good opportunity (like I need one) to introduce you to some of my favourite electronic acts on the 2019 bill.

Amphi Festival is happening on the 21st and 22nd July at the Tanzbrunnen in Cologne, with various pre-parties held on the Friday night. The Anointed crew will be DJing at midnight on the appropriately named Boots & Braces stage – click here to find out more.
