New Music: Namaka – Cellophane

  • New Music: Namaka - Cellophane

Swiss band namaka is made up of members Sophie Adam (Vocals), Catia Lanfranchi (Vocals, Synth) Philipp Schlotter (Moog, Keys) and Fred Bürki (Drums). Together they combine their individual talents to almost spiritual levels on tracks such as Cellophane, which you can check out below.

Sophie Adam’s voice is a complete delight, with a range and timbre similar to Icelandic legend Björk, her voice differs in the way that it celebrates and accentuates its mystical sound and its femininity, giving Cellophane a real otherworldly glow.

The production and arrangement on the track is warm an mellow, yet mildly euphoric, as if the band are channelling their emotional highs in to every note.

Cellophane is out now and features on the band’s Apron Ties EP which you can stream on Spotify and Soundcloud. The EP is available on iTunes and Bandcamp also. As well as the official website linked above you can find up to date news about gigs and new releases on their Facebook page.
