New Music: Vessels – Deflect The Light (Ft. The Flaming Lips)

I have real soft spot for the progressive electronic sounds of Vessels and can’t wait for the upcoming UK tour later this year! Until then, I’ve got new material like Deflect The Light to keep me satisfied. The stunning new track even features a guest appearance from The Flaming Lips.

New Music: Rotana – Over You

Rotana was born and raised in Saudi Arabia but moved to Los Angeles to pursue her music and herself, a path that didn’t exist where she came from. If you take FKA Twigs’ attitude, Kate Bush’s musical vision and the on the pulse musical sound of Banks, then add in a taste of ‘the personal is political’ feminism then you’re partly on the way to appreciating Over You.

New Music: Parabola West – Disappear

Parabola West creates a sublime blend of folk and electronic influences which is taken to another level when combined with the beautiful and haunting vocals of Amy Tucker. Part Eivør, part CHVRCHES, but very much original – that’s a good summary of her new track, the ballad-like Disappear.

New Music: Toya Delazy – No Follow

Toya Delazy really caught our attention with her track No Follow, which has come out in quick succession after her track Diamonds in the Rough.  The song sees her forge a strikingly individual path, switching without pause from rapping to singing and really showing her ability to take diverse influences and come up with something that is catchy, yet crosses so many musical boundaries.

New Music: Halia Jack – Careless

Halia Jack recently scored a premier over at The 405 and on the first listen you’ll know why! Careless is dark electronic pop and its finest, with her rich and feisty vocals working their magic over a haunting, almost anthemic ballad that evokes comparisons with acts as diverse as The XX and Neneh Cherry.

New Music: Amethysts – Purple Blood

English power pop duo Amethysts follow up their well-received debut single My Love with the sultry and sombre Purple Blood, which sees Simon and Clarice brew up an amazing addictive blend in accessible electronica.
