New Music: NONN – Home

  • New Music: NONN - Home

Hailing from the frozen reaches of Sweden, trio NONN say the ambience of their surroundings makes its way in to their music – icy certainty parlayed with a strong sense of personality and confidence, as you can hear on Home; a taster for the band’s new album.

There’s a certain Mancunian psychedelic melancholy air to the track, with the spirit of Joy Division, Chameleons and New Order throbbing intensely like an adrenaline fuelled heart at the centre of the song.

There’s also an ethereal, enigmatic theme, in the vocals and guitar, balancing any potential sense of gloom or despondency with a more reassuring, comforting tone.

Home is from NONN’s new album XVII which was released on December 7th via London’s Fuzz Club Records.
