New Music: Pines – This Life

PINES is an electronic duo consisting of Adam Dormand and James Kenneally. Hailing from Adelaide in Australia, the duo has been releasing music since 2015, and since then they’ve seen their own special brand of ambient-influenced electronic dance gain fans around the world. Their latest single This Life sees them expand their musical palate with considerable success.

At the musical core of This Life is a pulsating dance groove, which forms the bedrock for gossamer light films of synths, combining with an airy guitar melody that weaves sublimely in to the electronic essence of the track. The pitch-shifted vocals serve as an aid, not a distraction to the overall mellow euphoria the song engenders. It wouldn’t be out of place being played at Café del Mar!

The track is out now, and can be found on Spotify and iTunes. You can feind more information on streaming and downloading This Life here, and be sure to keep an eye on their official website for upcoming live dates.
