Playlists //

As part of our mission to bring you new and interesting music, we feature occasional playlists from friends, guests and contributors. Our playlists usually have a theme such as a specific genre, era, place or topic; they could be songs that have tickled the fancy of the complier, or a list of tracks and musical influences that inspired them or connected with them in some way.

The Weekly Roundup 24.12.17

Well, the festivities are beginning, but many of us are still working over the holiday period, some doing very important jobs, while others of us are just providing a little colour to people’s lives. A big thank you to those that keep the world running so that the rest of us can spend time with those we love. And also spend some time listening to music! And so, on with the show…

The Weekly Roundup 17.12.17

There doesn’t seem to be much of a musical theme to this weeks’ picks other than that they are ten very good tracks. The Weekly Roundup 03.12.17

The Weekly Roundup 19.11.17

It’s Winter – at it least up here in the Northern Hemisphere – and thoughts turn to Christmas, a new year, all amidst reflections on the past. But music never stops moving forward, even when taking inspiration from yesteryear, and if didn’t we wouldn’t have another ten new tracks for your listening pleasure.

The Weekly Roundup 12.11.17

Here we are on a weekend where people look to the past sacrifices of others that have enabled us to have the rights and freedoms we have today. Music was one of those threatened freedoms, and we should never forget that for some, even the act of making music can be dangerous and political in itself. With that, on to the roundup, which has a heavy emphasis on downtempo and electro this week!

The Weekly Roundup 05.11.17

Aaah, the 5th of November – a day in the UK where people celebrate someone failing to blow something by going en masse and blowing up lots of things! It’ll probably never change, and hopefully neither will our serving you up ten of the best tracks to come our way in the last week or so.
