New Music: Raf Rundell – Every Morning

  • New Music: Raf Rundell - Every Morning

Every Morning is the first single taken from Stop Lying, the upcoming album by Raf Rundell who is best known for his work as one half of The 2 Bears. The track is a marked departure from their sound, edging away from the dancefloor and adopting a chilled, indie-soul sensibility with a few musical twists along the way!

Using a combination of a sensual, organic bass (an actual bass guitar by the sound of it!), some very mellow beats, 60’s infused lead guitar and trumpets (trumpets!!); Rundell’s solo work has a real Sunday morning feel to it – the perfect excuse to stay in bed that little bit longer, especially if you’re a parent – which is fitting as Rundell described the song as ‘A bright-eyed, shuffling paean to the joys of parenthood’. It’s combination of positivity and reflection that will be familiar to many parents I suspect!

Every Morning is out now – click here for more details.  Its parent album Stop Lying gets a physical release on 2nd March via 1965 Records.
