New Music: Rare Facture – Verse Girl

  • New Music: Rare Facture - Verse Girl

Salt Lake City duo Tom Cella and David Burdick make up Rare Fracture, whose music blends synthpop, trance and futurepop into a heady mix of melodic, bass driven and upbeat electronica. Verse Girl is the latest single from the duo, heavy on hooks, arpeggios and with dreamlike male vocals that will give the listener a euphoric sense of quiet joy from the first listen.

Burdick has a track history of making trance music and you can hear that on Verse Girl, which very much follows the classic pop song structure but sublimely grafts on the essence of classic trance – the beat, the melody, that indescribable feel of happy remove – on to it.

Think Tiesto circa Elements of Life working with OMD at their creative and commercial peak, then that gives you an idea on how good I think this track is!

Verse Girl has an accompanying video and features on the bands recently released Suspension of the Conscious Mind album, which is out now via Groove Distortion Records and can be streamed on Spotify and Bandcamp.
