Danish indiejazz pioneers Røgsignal (Nikolaj Bugge, Jakob Lauritsen, Henrik Lauritsen, Jonas Møller Andreasen) have taken their fresh and innovative sound well beyond the confines of their home town Aarhus, not surprising when you hear the chilled tones of nobody.

The indie influences of the track are far from being of the generic landfill variety. Think instead of The Durutti Column or A Certain Ratio, bands that also negotiate urban sounds that are influenced by both the manmade and natural environments around them. But you can hear the rhythm of the seasons in the jazzy undercurrents on nobody, the sound of the city, the sea and more coming through, born from living somewhere that horizons exist only in the mind.

The band say their music inspired by common musical references and their members upbringing in the rough, windy nature of rural Jutland. You can discover that for yourself when the band play live, including in their home town this coming weekend, at Radar.
