New Music: Ruiners – Outside

  • New Music: Ruiners - Outside

Houston’s Ruiners take inspiration from the punk and post-punk genres, but there’s also an edgy, arty and political side to their sound as you can hear on Outside. Check out the video for the song below.

Harnessing the same raw energy and confrontational yet playful mood associated with acts like Fugazi, and an unwillingness to stick to genres in a similar style to that of art-punkers Art Brut, Outside takes hardcore and gives it a fresh and invigorating spin.

Sharp guitars, dual vocals, driving rhythm and a confident swagger borne from knowing their craft, all give the track a real sense of passion and belief that is sure to get under your skin.

Outside is out now, streaming on Soundcloud and will feature on the quartet’s upcoming Typecast album which is now up for pre-order on Bandcamp via Geodesic Records.
