New Music: RUNAH – This Silence

  • New Music: RUNAH - This Silence

This Silence is the second track of RUNAH’s soon to be released debut EP We Only Go To Church In Winter, and explores themes of mental health, acknowledging those who suffer and those who are a support system. The track is an atmospheric, slow burning number with nuances of folk and ambient styles which amplify the heartfelt emotion of the lyrics.

The stunning video for the track was shot between a disused warehouse in Ancoats, Manchester and on National Trust land. It features creative modern dance techniques, often a centrepiece of RUNAH’s live performances, as she explores themes such as the confinement, suffering, isolation, and pain associated with mental health problems.

This single is in support of 42nd Street a Manchester based charity, that supports young people (11-25) who are experiencing mental difficulties. You can hear more music by Runah on Spotify and Soundcloud and for more information and live dates, release etc check out her website.
