New Music: Saint McCabe – Everything That’s English

Everything That’s English is the debut release from Saint McCabe. Previously known for his work as cult underground punk Ste McCabe, after a decade of touring he called it a day in 2015. Under his new guise and change of musical direction, McCabe layers on sentimental synths, sprinkling in some addictive melodies for good measure to deliver a quintessentially English take of the quiet madness of life lived in the sprawling terraced housing in the North of England. Saint McCabe styles himself as ‘the lovechild of 80’s Cold Wave electronic acts and trashy Eurovision semi-finalists’. Check out the video for Everything That’s English below.

The track will feature on Saint McCabe’s upcoming self-titled EP and as well as featuring the personal take on modern England that is Everything That’s English, it includes the tongue-in-cheek pop of Now I Clean for Pleasure and the more atmospheric and reflective A Burial.

The EP is currently up for pre-order and streaming on Bandcamp and the EP is out on 20th October on Manekineko Music.
