With the band’s upcoming full-length album Full Bloom out April 5th via Nettwerk, Brooklyn’s Savoir Adore have dropped a delicious slice of sensually dark pop in the form of Body Heat.

Lauren Zettler’s vocals give the track a real 80s New York air, think Madonna and Fame (the film, not the TV series), the sun beating down on the busy streets, the humidity making tempers, temperatures and maybe libidos rise.

With its bright and tight synthpop meets soul arrangement, Prince and his more poppy proteges are brought to mind. But Body Heat is very much Savoir Adore’s very own, very special sound: the sound of modern New York. Comfortable with the past, living in the present, it’s a joy to listen to.

Body Heat is out now and can also be streamed on Spotify. You can catch up with the quartet and find out more about them and Full Bloom on their Facebook and Twitter accounts.
