Simon Posford is known worldwide for Shpongle (his collaboration with Raja Ram) and iconic dance project Hallucinogen. He launches a new chapter in his music with Germination from his new album, Flux & Contemplation – Portrait of an Artist in Isolation.

As you’d expect from his other projects, the track is electronic in nature but here it’s more experimental in tone. As accessible as both Shpongle and Hallucinogen, Germination takes its musical cues from more ambient, deconstructed elements of dance. It turns them into something that while just as enjoyable, seems more focused on stillness and contemplation than movement and outward expressions of emotion.
