Swedish singer, songwriter and producer Skott is looking to opening a new chapter in her life as an artist with the release of new single Bloodhound. Check out the deliciously eccentric video for the track below.

The song, which will feature on her upcoming album, is a quirky yet moody affair, taking standard pop hooks and sounds, and twists them into something lush yet leftfield. The chorus is chart gold, but with the starkly emotive lyrics and the dark, looping tones to the arrangement, this is intelligent, intriguing pop.

Speaking about the processes that led to the song, album and in fact setting up her own label called Dollar Menu, she had this to say: ‘It’s ok to show your teeth a little sometimes, and not worry too much about pleasing others or playing it safe, which I think many of us can find ourselves doing at times. I feel like starting my own label kind of runs in the same mind set. The song is playful and doesn’t take itself too seriously. I hope it resonates with some weirdos out there doing their own thing.”
