New Music: Tetrahedra – I Wouldn’t Mind

  • New Music: Tetrahedra - I Wouldn't Mind

We featured Australian quintet Tetrahedra back in November with their track Ether. They’re a welcome returnee to the blog with new track I Wouldn’t Mind, which is the latest single from the upcoming visual EP SOMA. There also a video masterminded by artistic director Isabella Connelley to accompany the track.

It’s yet another perfect distillation of future soul and art pop with a liberal dash of electronica, again eschewing the metronome and the 4/4 beat in favour of a tricky and irregular rhythm. But the track has a strong melody that smooths and soothes the at times angular tones, and the vocals give the song an almost honeyed air.

The SOMA EP is out mid-February and the band are having a launch party on 2nd March at The Worker’s Club in Fitzroy, Victoria.  You can check out more of the band’s music on Bandcamp and Spotify. The EP has funding from the Australia Council and Creative Victoria.
