New Music: The Fantastic Plastics – TV Head

The Fantastic Plastics describe their style  as FutureWave and themsleves as being ‘The Future of the Future’ – a mix of new wave, synth punk and electro elements with Orwellian and Sci-Fi inspired lyricism. Sounds good, right? Listen to this track and decide for yourself.

Originally from Champaign, Illinois, the Fantastic Plastics relocated to Brooklyn in 2012.

They have performed at CMJ Music Marathon, The Knitting Factory, Pygmalion Festival, The Cake Shop, and Northside Festival in Brooklyn. The band has been featured by BlankTV, AXS, Diffuser.FM, The Village Voice, Baeble Music, and more. In 2015, they released their Debut LP Devolver on Altercation Records.

On 7th October they’ll be releasing a new five song EP, Invasion, on Altercation Records and TV Head is a track from that very release. The band describe the track as being “about a man who has fallen in love with a television starlet, if not the TV itself”. Must be a very charismatic TV.

You can hear more via the band’s website.
