Mr. Bond is the debut release for American act The Pitch Invaders, the new musical alter ego of musician and producer Ryan Magnusson. The electro-rocker features the talents of Heavy Pop vocalist MOA – check its cheeky goodness out below.

The lyrics riff on the ingredients of 007’s favourite tipple, but places them in a witty, slightly polemic context. Putting a few dents in the image of Bond as a suave hero, the wry vocal delivery and biting commentary serves to take him down a peg or two in a very entertaining fashion. With a fun, occasionally brash take on funk and rock, the track doesn’t take itself too seriously whilst pertinently pointing out some of the contradictions in a well-loved cinematic hero.

Magnusson had this to say about Mr. Bond: “The track serves as a direct shot at James Bond’s arrogant persona. Each verse begins and ends by dissecting Bond’s signature cocktail (and how he orders it) to set the stage for punch lines at the character’s expense. The chorus serves as a melodic rebuke of Bond’s serial practice of seducing and deserting.”

Mr. Bond is out now and available to stream or download on all major platforms including Spotify. Be sure to check the band out over on Facebook and Twitter and show them some social media love as well as keeping up with news about the song as well as upcoming releases.
