New Music: The Ramona Flowers – Ghost

Prolific as well as talented, Londoners The Ramona Flowers have released 3 albums and one EP since 2014, with the most recent – Strangers – seeing the quintet refine their indie-electronica into a fine art.  New single Ghost is from that album and they’ve commissioned a sumptuous Frankie Nasso video which was filmed in a beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright style house to accompany the track.

Steve Bird’s vocals are the star of the track as he takes the lyrics, which teeter on heartbreak at times, and envelops them with a comforting, reassuring ambiance.

The track has their now standard flawless combination of rock bravado and melancholic electronica, making it swaggering and sensitive in equal measure; fitting on a song that details reactions to a faded love that inspires a new emotional journey.

The band are very proud of what they have achieved with their third album: “I think this record is much more accessible to a wider audience” says the band’s Sam James. “The sound of the band is big. I think we’ve been growing towards this over the last two records. This is the best album we’ve ever done.”

You can pick up Ghost and Strangers via Distiller Records, both are streaming on Spotify and all major digital services. The band recently finished a UK tour, but for news on upcoming dates, be sure to keep an eye on their Facebook and Twitter accounts.
