Ireland continues to reveal gems like WOOLVS to the world. Listen to Only Human and discover another exciting side of Ireland’s current rock sound.

Labelling themselves a ‘virtual alternative rock band,’ the Dublin-based trio of Hannibal (vocals/guitar), Cujo (lead guitar), and Manix (drums) may look back to the 1980s, but they seek inspiration in much different genres to their indie peers. Hannibal’s vocals certainly set them apart, as they seem inhabited by the spirits of David Bowie and Bob Mould at times, passionate yet coming from the point of an outsider. It’s a theme that continues throughout the song, as Bowie’s Low meets Warehouse: Songs And Stories to create a visceral and vibrant piece of music.

The band says about Only Human, “This song is about how we are worn down by life and pressured to conform until we become out of touch with who we really are to the point that we are ‘only human’ on the outside.”

Only Human is out now and available to stream or download on all major platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music. You can download the song via their Bandcamp page. Be sure to check WOOLVS out over their Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages for news about the band and their music.
