We’re really excited to be returning to our Northern home, Manchester. We’ve spent the last few years working closely with AnalogueTrash who’ve helped us with everything from releasing V3 of our compilation to keeping an ear on the ground to what our fans want to see on stages. Canada domiciled, Toronto based ATOMZERO – aka Peter Godziszewski (synths, programming) who formed the band in the UK back in 2001, and Andrew Hunter (vocals, arranging) – are certainly back with a bang with the new video for their single Automatic – their first new music since 2015 and premiered over on The Spill Magazine.
A decade is a long time to be doing anything (other than being on hold to Virgin Media), so we decided it was appropriate to mark our tenth anniversary of all things ‘Trash by throwing a little shindig at one of our favourite venues over the last decade – The Bread Shed (formerly The Zoo).
2019 is already shaping up to be a busy year for AnalogueTrash in terms of releases (and much more, so stay tuned on that score!) by our talented and eclectic roster of artists. We’re always open see what others can do with the music our acts release and we know there are loads of exceptionally talented artists out there so…. we’ve now set up a remix pool.
AnalogueTrash will be ten years old as an entity in 2019, and we’re already planning for our tenth birthday party. AT has changed a lot over the past ten years and it’s prompting a lot of reflection and introspection from everyone involved – so much so that I’m sure Ady will write a separate post on that at some point – but for now we look back on 2018 with a fond smile.
From a period of great change for the members of Manchester’s St Lucifer also came a period of unbridled creativity, with EPs and eventually an album – Music Is Violence – seeing the light of day in a quickfire and quixotic fashion. Read on to find out more about the album and how to help the quartet realise their goal of having a vinyl release for Music Is Violence.
We’re delighted to announce that the wonderful Spray have joined the AT family and we’ll be releasing their new album in 2019. After a chance meeting at a last minute Vieon support slot in Leicester earlier this year, we started chatting about working together, took a listen to their (rather good) unreleased demo material and here we are. Good times.
