Hailing from the Bournemouth on the south coast of England, masters of bass and beat poetry STOCKSNSKINS crash into summer with their new EP Drinks ‘n’ Nibbles.
Following on from their debut album Face Don’t Fit released in September 2019, the duo refuses to rest on their laurels and unleash three new tracks into a world far more uncertain than that explored on the album.
Talking of the new EP Ade says, “2020, world spiralling out of control on every level, STOCKSNSKINS bimble on doing what they do but with enhanced focus and determination; the future’s bright right?”
Drinks ‘n’ Nibbles benefits from extra attention to detail with mixing duties by Ade and Rich’s trusted, favourite go-to engineer Jason Poole “Currently playing bass with Pete Way of U.F.O. fame no less!” Ade enthuses, “STOCKSNSKINS continue on their trajectory, observing and experiencing the daily wrongs and soaking up sounds from the more leftfield artists.”
STOCKSNSKINS have produced another set of work brimming with intensity, thoughtfulness, sharp lyrics, and pounding beats. Framed by wry commentaries on social awkwardness and peer pressures, their take on the trappings of British society in this modern age is set to a score that embraces and develops the best of the classic Manchester sound.
This journey is far from over though, “We have some more corkers up our sleeves” Rich teases, “In the meantime stay healthy, upbeat and go out for some Drinks n Nibbles.”
