New Music: Neaks – Wizard

Los Angeles based Neaks views Wizard as a new beginning in his career. It certainly feels like a point where an artist’s vision has come together beautifully. With a sound that can hold its own against the chilled, reflective but fierce beats of Kid Cudi, They, and Raury, Wizard is trap with a distinctly soulful, laser-focused feel to it in both the lyrics and arrangement.

Reveals Neaks, “Wizard is a song about believing in your power. We often doubt ourselves for reasons that are out of control. Wizard is meant to capture that self-discovery moment.”

The video for Wizard was shot in Tulum, Mexico on and iPhone 13 Pro, giving Wizard a visual accompaniment that is just as crisp as the track, but still reflecting the warmth and humanity at the heart of the track that is impossible to resist.
