New Music: Club 8 – Daylight

Swedish duo Club 8 may not be the most prolific of bands in recent years, but following on from last year’s Sunny, 2024 has seen them release two perfect gems: the 60s-inflected guitar pop of Just Like Heaven and the delicious dreampop of Daylight.

Since forming in 1995, Club 8 – Karolina Komstedt and Johan Angergård – have created finely crafted pop with an indie aesthetic, and Daylight is no exception.

Pitched somewhere between the simple charms of the Sarah Records label and the thoughtful sounds of Still Corners, the track shows that after nearly three decades and nine albums, Club 8 still know how to create beautiful moments in sound.

Daylight can be heard on all streaming platforms including Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube – make your way to Club 8’s Facebook page for more listening and download info.
