New Music: Snakey Dublay – Bonehead

Snakey Dublay is a solo project helmed by Portland-based musician Colin Dawson, also known for his work with Haunted Horses. Bonehead sees Dawson explore a more post-punk sound than that more industrial-punk oriented outfit.

The song, which will also make an appearance on an as-yet-unannounced long player, plunges dark and deep into the riptides of post-punk, as Nick Cave style vocals are propelled along by a raw and expressive rhythm section. Fans of Iceage, The Cure, or Soft Kill need to be listening to the visceral, emotion-fuelled music of this unusually named band.
