New Music: Golden Toad – Get Out

Get Out by London’s Golden Toad has attracted serious airplay on BBC 6Music, and once you’ve heard its leftfield take on electronica, you’ll be doing the same.

The project, led by Al Brown – lately of Japanese Television – tweaks the kosmische sounds of previous single Time into something more electronic, more tangential to what went before. There are residuals of rock in the vocals and percussion, but what really hits home is the spacey, slow build of the track’s eclectic aesthetic.

Get Out is out now via Tip Top Recordings to stream on Spotify and SoundCloud and is available to download on Bandcamp. Golden Toad are set to announce some live gigs very soon; follow them on Instagram for venue and ticket details.
