New Music: FRAGRANCE. – Burning the Mold

The exquisite excursions into communal memories of acid aren’t the only thing that will see Burning the Mold be a hit on dark scene dancefloors and beyond.

FRAGRANCE. – French musician Matthieu Roche – also blends in elements of EBM and techno into the night-time soundscape of Burning the Mold. It’s a place where even desire is laced with more than a hint of melancholy and unrequited longing, a sensation that Roche’s vocals, whispered and windswept, are full of the ephemeral nature of love and life.

Roche has worked with acts as diverse as Mylène Farmer, Maya Postepski, Hante., and Prayers in recent years, and the reason for those partnerships will be obvious from the first time you listen to Burning the Mold.
