New Music: Bleach TV – Tragedy

German indie quartet Bleach TV launch themselves with an impressive debut single, Tragedy.

The Hamburg-based outfit look to the brooding side of post-punk and the distinctly melodic side of indie rock on Tragedy, a colourful and complex sound that is a deep contrast with the monochromatic energy of the accompanying video.

Its nearest comparisons would be the new wave of Irish post-punk, using the genre as a launchpad to other soundscapes, light with a tinge of melodic grunge mournfulness to it. Tragedy is a debut that hints at great things ahead for the band.
