New Music: Great Demise – FUCK IT ALL UP

Great Demise strip punk and hardcore back to their fundamentals on their latest single, FUCK IT ALL UP.

The Californian band are not aiming to be subtle, instead seeking and succeeding to express an articulate rage at the fear of failure that modern life can saddle us with. Great Demise sound like a controlled demolition here; the energy is palpable but confined into a tight space, exploding through the vocals when the pressure gets too much to bear.

If Penelope Spheeris decides to do a fourth instalment of The Decline of Western Civilization, then the soul-bearing ferocity of FUCK IT ALL UP would be worthy of inclusion.
