Blushing is comprised of not one, but two husband-and-wife pairings, and maybe that air of comfort and domesticity has contributed to the blissed-out reverie that is Dream Merchants.

The dreamy yet bruising opening has echoes of My Bloody Valentine and Breeders, setting the scene for an unusual but very pleasing duality. The shoegaze elements of the arrangement lead the way for sure, but the there’s an underlying edge, almost menace, that lets you know there’s more substance to Dream Merchants than usually present in this most soothing (to me at least!) of genres.

Dream Merchants is out now and can be streamed on Spotify and Bandcamp: for more news on the band and their music,  be sure to follow this exciting quartet on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.
