New Music: Duckwrth – I’m Really Changing feat. Sherwyn

There’s a lot of humour underpinning the sweet funk-soul sound of I’m Really Changing, which sees Duckwrth team up with Sherwyn on vocal duties.

There’s a deliciously 70s vibe to the arrangement that is hard to ignore but very easy to love, as Duckwrth regales the listener with a declaration of true love, possibly not for the first time, but this time it’s for real.

Behind the humour and the slick sounds is a story of someone who really does want to change, but their past is too recent, and possibly too raw, for them to address right now. There’s so much going on in the song’s three minutes that it deserves repeated listens to fully appreciate what’s happening here, lyrically and musically.

The song is one of a host of hip-hop bangers on Duckwrth’s new American F⭐️ckBoy album which, over its 21 tracks, explores issues including male toxicity, ego, infidelity, and the cycles that shape us, ultimately leading to moments of self-realisation and atonement.

Duckwrth says he hopes the album will spark meaningful conversations around vulnerability, growth, and the complexities of the human experience.

American F⭐️ckBoy – which is his third LP – can be heard on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and all major music platforms. For album and artist news, make your way to TikTok and Instagram.
