New Music: Hanne Leland – Carry On

  • New Music: Hanne Leland - Carry On

Norwegian Hanne Leland rose to prominence outside her home country during a 2017 that saw her tracks streamed over three million times on Spotify and being invited by legends All Saints to play on their UK tour. 2018 is shaping up to be just as successful with the release of her new track Carry On.

There’s a Latin/American flair to the Scandi sound that flows through the track, warm and sensual as if symbiotic with Leland’s vocals. A rich and imperious call to arms and a declaration of independence, Carry On fuses positive and feisty vocals to a tender melody and forthright percussion, imparting to the listener enough of the track’s can-do attitude to put a spring in your step and heart.

Speaking about the anthem in the making, Leland says: “Carry On is about finding strength to move on in the midst of chaos. With all the horrible things going on in the world today, it’s hard to understand how we can possibly go on with our lives.

I wanted to write a song about how we need to unite and find strength in one another, so that we can carry on and spread love wherever we go”.

Carry On is out now, streaming on Spotify and you can find the track on all major digital platforms.
