We can’t tell you a lot right now about Manchester-based artist I Was Love, but once you experience new track Hands Open, like us you’ll certainly want to know more. Check out the video for the track below.
Chilled in the extreme and lush to boot, the song channels a Nordic-style froideur at times, as icy as it is full of emotion. The vocals are smooth, with a hint of fragility within their fluid tones, as crisp as spring water and just as refreshing. Think Kate Bush meets Fever Ray, though, with more of an ear for pop than the latter, Hands Open is hard to place in a specific sound or genre, which adds to its refreshing charm.
