Introducing: Jane N’ The Jungle

Phoenix outfit Jane N’ The Jungle (Jordan White, Brian Dellis, and Bryan Dague) blew us away with their recent single Trouble: equal parts Evanescence, Queen, and QOTSA. Its intoxicating blend of emotion, rock anthem, and down and dirty rock n roll meant we wanted to find out about the people behind the powerhouse sound of the song.

First up, could you tell us a little bit about Jane N’ The Jungle?

 Jane N’ The Jungle is a rock band from Phoenix, AZ that started out as a garage band in 2013 when Brian and I first started writing together.  I graduated with a BFA in musical theatre, and I enjoy the art of performance and theatrics that you can hear in our music and see on stage.

What inspires you to write?

The raw passion of the human experience and being able to convey that in an emotional form of art.

Who has had the most influence on your music?

My parents, they have believed in me since day one and pushed me to follow my dreams.  I couldn’t be where I am today without their support.

What has been the biggest challenge in your career up to now?

I think the biggest challenge has probably been during the pandemic and learning new ways to connect with our fans when we weren’t playing shows and now navigating our way through a post covid world and what that looks like for the music industry.

What has been the best gig you’ve played?

Oooo, this is a tough one. Our Concrete Jungle CD release night at Crescent Ballroom in 2019 was a really fun show.  It meant a lot seeing so many people from our hometown come out and support.

What was the last album or song you listened to?

Our upcoming single release, LOL!  We were working on the music video today!

If you could support anyone, who would it be and why?

I feel like my answer always changes with this question.  I would love to support just a badass show. P!nk, Foo Fighters, The Pretty Reckless, Halestorm… I think there’s too many great bands to just pick one!

What other Phoenix or Arizona bands do we need to be checking out right now? 

Upsahl, Sydney Sprague, El West, Alien Atmosphere, New Chums, Cali Mesa are some great Phoenix bands and artists we’ve had the pleasure of playing shows with.  We have an awesome local music scene!

Could you tell us something about the inspiration behind your latest single, Trouble? 

Trouble was inspired by having trouble finding yourself and trouble finding you.  The guys told me I should try to belt the song out like Dave Grohl, so that was also a big inspiration.

Give us a few hints on what’s in store next for Jane N’ The Jungle … 

We are currently working on our next single and music video release dropping in September!  We’ve been writing and hope we can get into the studio soon as well as working on booking shows!  We can’t wait to rock with everyone again soon!!  Thank you so much for all your love and support for our music!!
