Dutch musician, composer and producer Jeroen Dirrix professes a deep love for both the piano and electronic sounds – a combination which works well on the contemplative Take The Air (I).

The track was created on a Moog analogue synthesizer, one of the reasons it has maintains such a human quality in the midst of the electronic wizardry on display.

Shying away from the sometimes kitsch or oppressive tones we often hear with the Moog, Dirrix instead goes down a more minimalist route, albeit one that incorporates nuances from both classical music and a more modern, progressive song structure and soundscape.

Take The Air (I) comes from the Take The Air EP which you can listen to in full on Spotify. The EP can also be found on iTunes.
